Boracay Beach Club

The decision to stay at Boracay Beach Club (BBC) was primarily influenced by the high ratings I have read about BBC on the net.

As we were travelling with kids, the hotel were are to stay in needs to be accessible, secured and children's friendly. I saw just that at BBC.

  • BBC is located at Station I (meaning less crowd and more of the tranquil Boracay experience that we have been dreaming...)
  • The hotel is not beach front, which was away from the rowdy night crowd, perfect for peaceful night sleep especially for the kids.
  • However, it does have a beach front restaurant "Ariel's Pub" which gives you a spectacular view of the beach.
  • Breakfast that come with the room package were very good (hefty serving and complete meals).
  • The hotel has a pool, perfect for after beach dip.  Water was warm and we have it mostly to ourselves for the duration of our stay there.
  • We got family rooms at the ground floor (since we wanted direct pool access). The room we stayed in was basic, but clean and spotless.
  • The hotel owner is very hospitable, she made us feel so much at home.
  • Staff were also great (really friendly and accommodating).

We enjoyed every bit of our stay in BBC.
It is as they say, "Your Home Away from Home".

Bakasyunan Resort Tanay Review

We were looking for an easy 1-2 hours get-away near Metro Manila to unwind and catch up with family friends.
As we live in Taytay, our default go to place is the hills of Tanay, Rizal.

Resorts abound in Tanay, so choosing one that fits our requirement was a bit of a challenge.

We wanted a place with a back to nature ambiance with panoramic view, but with the comfort of a hotel. This led us to "Bakasyunan Resort".

The resort sits on a 15 hectare property with a view of the Sierra Madre mountains and Laguna de Bay.

We booked 2 Carneros Inn.  The Carneros are private rooms located a few meters away the main pool.  The rooms have 2 Queen sized beds, perfect for a family of four (4).

I am so sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the room interiors.  I got this picture from Bakasyunan website instead.

Our room is clean, but was in need of upgrading, especially the bathrooms (the hot and cold shower wasn't working and so is the bath tub).

The air-condition was freezing, which was…

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Kingdom Club

We wanted a special holiday with the kids (they are growing up so fast) and decided to welcome 2018 in Hong Kong Disneyland.  It has after all been 5 years since we have last been to Hong Kong.  Though we were recently in Tokyo Disneyland, the volume of guests was heartbreakingly huge ~ to truly enjoy the park.

Check here our Visit to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea last 2016 >>> Tokyo Disneyland  and >>> Tokyo Disney Sea

We booked a 3 nights stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and opted for an upgrade to the Kingdom Club floor.

The elegant service and perks is well worth the additional cost.

Club Level BenefitsComplimentary Deli at Kingdom Club Lounge (730am to 10pm) which includes assorted fresh pastries, cereal, fruit, hot breakfast selections and beverages in the morning; Selection of scrumptious appetizers with your choice of complimentary beer and wine late afternoon and light snacks night time.

A Disney character in pajamas visits the lounge at 8pm, where …

Day 4 in Seoul (A Private Tour : Seoul ~ Sanjeong Lake, Pocheon Art Valley and Herb Island)

Our Day 4 in South Korea was in the outskirt of Seoul ~ Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do.  As it was a little difficult to reach I contacted, "This is Korea" Tours to customize a private tour for my family.

Andy, our Tour Specialist (TS) cum driver and photographer picked us up at the Metro Hotel at 11am as agreed.  It was an easy ride on board a 7-seater limousine van for our family of 4.

Our tour was personalized based on what we wanted so long as the entire trip is all within the 10 hours we've commissioned.  For our trip, we've decided on Sanjeong Lake, Pocheon Art Valley and Herb Island.

Sanjeong Lake is situated between Myeongseongsan and Mangbongsan Mountain.  Its name means "as clear as a mountain well". It was built in 1925 as a reservoir to supply to farmlands in Pocheon.

Reached Sanjeong Lake Park early afternoon ~ perfect weather for a cup of hot coffee

Lots of things to do in the lake park.  We took a paddle boat and walked the lake promenade.

I a…
