During our last Singapore-Malaysia holiday, we were again back at Sentosa.
We love Sentosa, there are so many things to do and plenty of things to see...
MovenPick Hotel (now Le Meridien Sentosa), this time we have decided to living large like Rock Stars!
I have always wanted to stay in a Hard Rock Hotel wondering what living large feels like.
Here is a peek of Hard Rock Hotel:
The Grand hotel lobby. Check in was a breeze, I spent no more than 5 minutes (I think) and the best part is we were upgraded.
'
My boys busy catching Pokemons at the Hard Rock Hotel lobby. Unfortunately the wifi is not free. We came prepared though and bought a local Singapore sim.
We were treated to a very nice view of Hard Rock's beach inspired swimming pool.
Our welcome view...
Black leather sofa chairs were so stylish!
Deluxe Rooms Amenities include:
- Simmons “Cool Max” bed
- Symbolic guitar amenity tray
- 42” Flat screen LCD TV with more than 28 channels, including the Hard Rock Music Video Channel
- Iron and ironing board
- Electronic safe
- Complimentary coffee and tea making facilities
- Complimentary bottles of mineral water
I would have liked the smaller to go bottles.
Can't help but notice the small details...
(guitar embroidered pillow cases)
The bedroom rug shaped like a guitar pick.
Even the wall deco and bedroom rug ~ screams rock star!
The slippers were made of rubber, perfect for going to the pool.
We lost sight of our Papa for about 30 minutes, guess where we found him! Yes taking these selfies next to Rock Stars' memorabilia!
VERDICT:
- We only stayed overnight and needed to leave early for an early morning flight back to Manila. We were not able to try their breakfast so I can't say anything about their food.
- Check-in and check-out was fast and smooth. Staff were likewise friendly.
- Our room is clean, but a tini-bit dark to my liking. I think the ambient lighting is rocker like.
- I think the bathroom needs updating. I was hoping to see at least a bidet. Also, although the toilet and shower were enclosed by glass, the bathroom has no doors (lacking a bit of privacy).
- The Hard Rock Pool is wonderful. They made it look to resemble the beach and with real sand too.
- It close to Universal Studio Singapore (USS). Location is perfect and within walking distance, if you want to reach USS ahead of the crowd.
- Price is a bit steep though for hotels inside RWS. Remember to subscribed to their website and watch out for deals and promotions >>> Resorts World Sentosa.
- Note that wifi is not free. If you are heavy on data, I recommend getting a local Singapore sim.
Please check also my blog for post regarding our previous Singapore-Malaysia Trip.
Day 4 - Jurong Bird Park and Science Center
Day 5 - Singapore Zoo (with breakfast with the Orangutans)
Day 6 - Sentosa Island
Day 7 - Universal Studio Singapore
Day 8 - SEA Aquarium and Vivo City
We're planning a trip to USS so it's good to find a review of one nearby. Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful hotel find in SG! Will put this on my list. Im planning to bring my parents and in laws in singapore soon and i think this is a lovely place to stay. I hope they have promos! :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I posts about bloggers visiting other countries, I would think to myself: will we ever be able to visit this place? Well, I hope so. It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice place. I hope one day we can visit Singapore too. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHard Rock Hotel was once our hotel option previously but we decided to take another place. I was actually curious on how the hotel looks like and I'm glad you share this. Hopefully, next time, we can try this accomodation, if budget permits :)
ReplyDeleteI like the rocker style theme and the little guitar details. Looks cute! But, I wouldn't want a no door bathroom too! Lol! Hopefully, they upgrade since it's supposed to be hard rock high class accommodation.
ReplyDeleteOooh I would've liked to see how their breakfast buffet is!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun holiday. That swimming pool view is great :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom is planning to visit Singapore this year. I think i will tell her or let her check your post.
ReplyDeleteI also notice that the room is a bit dark.
the hotel looks nice, but when we travel we choose the affordable ones. mukhang pricey this hotel :(
ReplyDeleteLooks like you a had a great time. I wish the photos were bigger.
ReplyDeleteLove the room! Rock star indeed. Everything seems well coordinated from the wall decors to linens and even the bedroom rug. Ihihi.
ReplyDeleteYou sure had an awesome time at hardrock resorts world SG. Ang ganda ng morning view n'yo. Very welcoming. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the style of the hotel. The guitars are cute. I'm like you when I'm in a hotel. I see the smallest details haha :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats for the upgrade, this is what I like if room will be upgraded without any extra charge. The lobby and the view of the room is nice, sayang you were not able to to try their breakfast, I am always looking forward for hotel breakfast
ReplyDeleteThat's a rockin' good time. :) Sad that you weren't able to try their breakfast. Must have been a really really early flight. I love the little Hard Rock details too. :)
ReplyDeleteWe plan to go to Malaysia early next year. Legoland is the goal but we're also considering Kuala Lumpur. Will see.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they don't have bathroom doors. So the toilet doesn't have a cubicle of its own?
That rock-star themed hotel rocks! It would have been better, though, if there's free WIFI since the price is a bit expensive. -- Maria Teresa Figuerres
ReplyDeleteSad to know the wifi is not free. Nevertheless, the place looks great and relaxing! Hope to visit Singapore soon with the family.
ReplyDeleteNice hotel to stay at. Love the guitar details. I would've been weirded out too to find out the bathroom had no doors. Nakaka-conscious naman!
ReplyDeleteWow, the luxurious and lavish accommodation will really make you feel like a rockstar! This looks like an awesome place to stay with the family on long weekends!
ReplyDeleteSeems like a place truly fit for a star! :) Lucky you to have gotten a stay there. Sayang, wifi is not free.
ReplyDeleteSoo nice. I haven't been to this hotel yet. Soon, perhaps? And hopefully with the kids this time :)
ReplyDeleteThat view is amazing and the room is super cool! Would love to stay there when I go to Singapore. 😊
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip, looking at your Day 1-8 makes me drool. Dreaming of traveling to Singapore also with my kids but let's hold on to that dream for a while muna. Thanks for a great post where we took a peek in this quite expensive hotel :-)
ReplyDeleteNo bathtub? That's such a downer. The glass-enclosed toilet and shower reminds me of Bay Hotel in Singapore as well. It's the one across VivoCity.
ReplyDeleteLove the touch of the guitar designs. I always love reading about staycations because I get to have an idea on what the hotels looks like before booking one.
